Vice President – Employee Benefits Specialist 

BNP Paribas is currently recruiting for a Vice President - Employee Benefits Specialist for it Chesterbrook, PA office.

The Benefits Specialist will work closely with the Head of Benefits to ensure BNPP has a holistic benefit program for our most important asset – our employees. Additionally, the individual is responsible for working with internal and external partners in the administration of our benefit programs to ensure plan compliance and effective employee engagement.

*Physical presence in BNPP’s office(s) is an essential function of this position. BNPP requires all of our employees to be vaccinated in order to access its offices, subject to reasonable accommodations for reasons related to disability or religion.

2-3 days a week in the office

Responsibilities:

This position will assist in the administration of the benefits (healthcare and retirement plans) for the US employee population. In addition, the Benefits Specialist will gather, evaluate and analyze a wide variety of data and information related to the BNP Paribas benefit programs to facilitate changes and support employees’ needs; and provide functional and technical support to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. This includes reporting and analytics, vendor management and assisting the Director of Benefits in the development and maintenance of the various benefit programs.

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of the Benefit plans to ensure regulatory compliance and support employee engagement
  • Works closely with Director of Benefits, internal partners and external vendors to assist in development and delivery of participant education including written materials, webinars to facilitate open enrollment
  • Support benefit compliance activities (e.g., audits/5500s, nondiscrimination testing, ACA reporting with the IRS and applicable mandated states, plan documents, etc.)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to complete the various benefit processes such as semi-monthly 401k reconciliation funding process, Outbound Expat monthly funding, and VDC plan distributions
  • Resolve employee issues pertaining to group benefits programs, benefits enrollments, COBRA etc., by researching and partnering with vendors, payroll and HR managers.
  • Participate in annual enrollment activity including communications and testing.
  • Perform all other benefit administration related duties.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years’ experience managing employee benefits, with in-depth knowledge of retirement programs, policies and regulations.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working with brokers and carriers
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in employee benefits, with in-depth knowledge of retirement programs, policies and regulations.

Ability:

  • To perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • To work autonomously, while recognizing team-oriented goals
  • To multitask, detail oriented, resourceful
