Program Overview:

Mental health is top of mind everywhere these days as about twenty percent of adult Americans report symptoms of mental illness according to the Centers for Disease Control. Workplace mental health concerns such as anxiety, stress, burnout, and depression had already been growing, and then the COVID-19 pandemic and remote work situations just intensified these matters. It is no secret that work-related factors, especially during the pandemic, are impacting employee's mental health. It is no longer a bonus to discuss mental health in the workplace, employers have a responsibility to support employees. During this presentation, we will dive into:

Learning objectives include:
- Benefits of addressing mental health in the workplace
- Understanding the physical health connection and potential health risks
- How to build a culture of mental health and break the stigma in the workplace
- Creating management and leadership training
- Workplace wellness initiatives to encourage better mental health
- Resources employers can offer employees (including free resources!)
- How to reinforce employees reset and recharge 
- Creating a comprehensive mental health benefit within your benefits package

About Our Speakers:


Terriann Procida


Terriann Procida is a founding partner of the employee benefits firm, Innovative Benefit Planning, LLC, and has over thirty years of experience in the insurance industry, providing employee benefit services to business owners and executives nationally. Her experience working with diverse businesses throughout the region has helped Terriann to identify key challenges that employers face. As a business owner herself, Terriann brings a valued perspective when assisting her clients in their benefit decisions. She has received many accolades from her clients and colleagues over the years. During her career, Terriann has been recognized with Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice's Circle of Excellence Award, served as Chairwoman of the United Benefit Advisors Board of Directors, and was most recently honored with the South Jersey Biz Executive of the Year.

In her spare time, Terriann immerses herself in many professional and volunteer activities including serving on several non-profit boards and committees. She is a well-known speaker on topics such as employee benefit strategies, employee engagement, and workplace wellness.




Erica Polaneczky, MSN, APRN, ANP-C



As part of the workplace wellness team at Innovative Benefit Planning, LLC, Erica helps build, plan, coordinate, and deliver health promotion activities tailored specifically to each client's company culture and member population. She works with our internal team and our clients to improve health and wellness opportunities and outcomes while increasing the accessibility of care and reducing costs. Erica also develops and presents seminars on health and wellness to our clients, and coaches and counsels' individual client-members to help them achieve optimal health. Erica's healthcare expertise can help clients navigate the healthcare system, including interpreting physician instructions and medication compliance.


Prior to accepting this position, Erica spent more than fifteen years providing pre-admission testing at Hahnemann University Hospital, as well as delivering medical education and ensuring patient safety prior to surgery. She has also worked as a nurse practitioner and staff nurse with several hospitals and medical practices. She continues to serve as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. Erica received her B.S. in Nursing from DeSales University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University.
