Building a Culture of Agility:  What's Next for Leaders

**This event will be held virtually via Zoom**

 Program Overview:

In today's complex business environment, successful organizations are those that are quick and adaptive, have a strong organizational purpose to guide them, and know how to make faster, smarter decisions.

New Sources of Competitive Advantage

Transient strategic advantage: Competitive advantage is important, but in a world of rapid change it is also increasingly short-lived.  Where once an organization could find a source of competitive advantage, scale it, and defend it, they now must also find and ride the next value wave leveraging capabilities such as organizational speed and flexibility.

Arenas and blurred boundaries: A combination of evolving customer needs and emerging technologies creates unique customer opportunities that don't fit neatly within existing industry boundaries.

Inflection points: We know the pace of change is accelerating, but so too are the inflection points that are strategic turning points for companies and industries. Leaders need to monitor the environment and regularly challenge the assumptions that have shaped the industry and their organization so they are able to identify  where the game-changing shifts will occur.

Seeing around corners: Change most often begins at the edges of an industry or business, not the center. Leaders need to be efficient at managing the core business and proficient at observing signs from the edge indicating the arrival of the next change or value wave. "Seeing around corners" is now an essential capability that must be practiced in order to stay ahead of the next inflection point.
